MEF Chapters: Powered by You

Bring Your Big Ideas to Life: Become an MEF Chapter!

Across Mapleton, families, staff, and school communities have great ideas for bringing people together and creating new opportunities for students. An MEF Chapter gives those ideas a structure and a place to grow.

MEF Chapters are school-based volunteer organizations affiliated with the Mapleton Education Foundation. Chapters can raise funds, host events, support school priorities, and build connections among students, families, staff, and the broader community.

Each Chapter is led by its own volunteer team and works in partnership with its school and MEF. As part of the MEF Chapter Network, Chapters receive:

  • Affiliation with MEF and the ability to operate under its 501(c)(3) status
  • Guidance for responsible financial management and fundraising
  • Access to MEF Chapter resources, templates, and tools
  • Insurance coverage for qualifying Chapter activities
  • Ongoing support from the Foundation

The result is a structure that gives volunteers room to bring ideas to life while keeping responsibilities, finances, and expectations clear.

Let's Get Started

  • Celebrating our trailblazers, Explore NEST, Trailside PIE, and Valley View Volunteers, who turned ideas into action and helped pave the way for MEF Chapters across Mapleton.

  • MEF Chapter Network is Growing!

We are proud to welcome Adventure VIVA and Welby NEST to the Mapleton Education Foundation Chapter Network. Together with Trailside PIE, Valley View Volunteers, and Explore NEST, our network is now five Chapters strong.

The Chapter Network connects schools directly with the Foundation, strengthens school communities, and creates new opportunities for students.

  • Starting a Chapter is easier than you might think, and you won’t do it alone. When your school partners with the Mapleton Education Foundation, you gain access to practical tools, established systems, and ongoing support to help your Chapter get up and running.

Whether you are a PTO, booster club, or a group of families and staff ready to get involved, MEF can provide:

    ✓ 501(c)(3) nonprofit status
✓ Financial systems and bookkeeping support
    ✓ Insurance coverage
✓ Guidance and support along the way

All it takes is a small team, a shared vision, and a commitment to creating more opportunities for students and strengthening your school community.

  • This is where Chapter leaders can find the practical tools and guidance they need to plan, fundraise, manage activities, and stay organized.

Resources include downloadable forms, financial guidance, event-planning tools, donor outreach materials, community partnership resources, governance documents, and other practical support for running a strong Chapter.

The goal is to make the work easier to navigate so volunteers can spend less time figuring out process and more time creating opportunities for students and their school community.
