Colorado School of Mines Scholarship Matching

Criteria and information for matching scholarship award:

  • For students awarded scholarships in 2022, Colorado School of Mines will provide up to $5,000 per student per year in 1:1 matching gift aid to eligible MEF scholarship recipients at Colorado School of Mines 
  • Students must demonstrate financial need each year as determined by results of the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) and must comply with all verification requirements of the institution no later than July 1 
  • Recipients must be undergraduate students seeking their first degree. Graduate students and second bachelor’s degree students are not eligible
  • Students must be enrolled full-time
  • Students must be meeting the federal Satisfactory Academic Progress (SAP) requirements and maintain at least a 2.0 cumulative Grade Point Average (GPA) to receive matching funds
  • MEF will make its scholarship payment after receiving a scholarship activation form submitted by the student.  Colorado School of Mines will make payment after verifying the list of eligible scholarship recipients, which shall be sent to Colorado School of Mines by MEF no later than August of each academic year
