Description:
The John G. Byrd Athletic Scholarship Program is a competitive scholarship program honoring former teacher and coach John Byrd. The John G. Byrd Athletic Scholarship provides financial support to graduating Mapleton student athletes.
Eligibility:
- Applicant must be a resident of Colorado and attend Mapleton Public Schools.
- Applicant must be a Mapleton student athlete.
- Applicant must be eligible for and planning to attend an accredited college, university, vocational or technical school in the next academic year.
Requirements:
- Submit application form and all common application requirements electronically (see application checklist).
- Finalists for this scholarship will be required to participate in an interview process.
- Recipient must maintain a 3.0 GPA to be eligible for subsequent years of funding.
- Recipient must attend college for two consecutive years.
