Number available: (1) $5,000 Scholarship ($2,500/year for 2 years)       

Description:

The Impact Scholarship Program is a competitive scholarship program that provides graduating seniors with financial support to further their educational and personal goals beyond high school.  Sponsored by CoreCivic, the Back on Track Scholarship seeks to make a difference in the lives of scholarship recipients who went through and/or were involved in the criminal justice system and/or who have dealt with adversity with integrity and focus. 

Eligibility: 

  • Applicant must be a resident of Colorado and attend Mapleton Public Schools.
  • Applicant must be eligible for and planning to attend an accredited college or university, trade school, training program or other post-secondary educational or vocational institution in the next academic year.
  • Applicant must be interested in a career in mental health (psychology, psychiatry, counseling, social work, etc.) or law enforcement.

Requirements: 

  • Submit application form and all common application requirements electronically (see application checklist). 
  • Finalists for this scholarship will be required to participate in an interview process.
