Programs

At Mapleton Education Foundation we offer financial support and a variety of grants to students and teachers to help them explore, experience and elevate their lies to full potential. We provide access to post-secondary education, enable participation in district and extra-curricular programs, foster creativity and innovation in the classroom, and engage community support to fulfill this commitment to generations ongoing.

Improving Access to Post-Secondary Education

Student Scholarships

No student should have to abandon their career aspirations due to the cost of post-secondary education.  To ensure that Mapleton students can access post-secondary programs – including vocational programs, two-year programs, and four-year programs – the Foundation provides two- and four-year scholarships to approximately fifty students each year, with scholarships totaling over $285,000.

In addition to post-secondary scholarships, the Foundation also supports a post-secondary transition program, which provides Mapleton graduates with additional support throughout their first year in college.  An adviser provides one-on-one guidance in areas of financial planning, housing, transportation, academics, and social-emotional support.  The program has been shown to more than double post-secondary enrollment rates in participating schools.

Encouraging Creativity & Innovation in the Classroom

Marchi Mini-Grants

When teachers have access to funding to implement innovative, engaging lessons and programs, students are more engaged and care more about school.  We provide these resources through a competitive grant program, which supports 6-8 teachers annually with grant awards ranging from $1,500 – $3,000.

Helping Students Participate in District Activities & Programs

Make-A-Difference Fund

To ensure that all students have access to life-enriching extracurricular activities, the Foundation awards grants to both individual students and programs, ranging from eye exams for uninsured student athletes, to entrance fee waivers at games and performances for every student in the District.

Supporting District Priority Programs

Every year, the Foundation provides support to a high-impact, district-wide program. Past initiatives include literacy, science, performing arts and athletics. This year’s priority program is student leadership and extra-curricular opportunities.
